Camille’s American lit blog

 Today was a good day! Today was throw back Thursday and half the whole school dressed out as people in the 90s, also today in American literature we finished presenting our group projects and went over them with the class. After school i’m going home cleaning up and going to sleep.

 Today was okay, in American literature we started reading the book “The color purple” and so far we read pages 1-7. The book is filled with letters from a 14y/o girl talking to God about how her dad raped her, we didn’t get too far into the story but so far that’s some of all we read.

 Today school was okay, in my American literature class we read a book of poems and started writing what we thought some of the poems mean or what the meaning of them were. Nothing interesting happened and i was tired all day like any other day and after school I went to my grandma house and seen my cousins and ate with them, my grandma cooked and made my day a hundred times better.

 Today was an okay day, my whole week last week was hard because I just lost my uncle on 9/11 and that has me kinda depressed at the moment. Sleep is not an option at night anymore because i’m too busy up after seeing his face 1,000 times in my dreams, after my uncle was killed my family was unsure about how to handle things because a death was not a part of our plans, his death hurt us all and i’m trying to keep a strong mindset so I won’t crash out but man life gets deep during these hard times and the worst part is having to say goodbye.  On the other hand school is weighing me down ALREADY, its not that bad but its a little challenging trying to keep up with my crazy life at home and come to school and get my work done, I am my only motivation right now and a weak mindset is something a female like me doesn’t need, I know I’ll get through this but my mindset needs to change.

 Today in school we went over definitions of words and talked about translations in geometry, i didn't do much today but school work and i was still very tired when i got to school so i didn't want to be doing too much all day. I did my sisters hair last night and i think i did somewhat a good job, some more practice wouldn’t hurt though.
